Georgia and Josh's magical Cowbell Creek wedding
Oh, what a beautiful day! Georgia and Josh got married in May at Cowbell Creek in the picturesque Gold Coast hinterland, and what an incredible time of year to do it. These guys have been together almost 5 years, and got engaged under the Eiffel Tower after being apart for 6 months while Josh was deployed with the army. Their beautiful love story set the tone for a truly magical day in the mountains.
The couple chose their venue pretty early, and ended up with over 2 years to plan the wedding because Cowbell Creek was completely booked out. “It actually worked out amazingly, having the extra time really allowed us to take our time making sure we got to pick all the vendors that we thought would be perfect for the day!” says Georgia. “Our main focus for the day was making sure it felt like a big, warm family dinner. We wanted our friends and family to be super comfortable and just have a great time.” And let me tell you, they nailed it.
With family-style catering from The Italian Job and a mouthwatering cake by Veganyumm, they certainly filled the “great food” part of the brief. Georgia wore a stunning Rosa Clará gown and Paul Voge officiated a truly personal and touching ceremony, so all that extra time choosing the perfect vendors certainly paid off.
“The whole day felt like it went by in about 10 minutes and I have so many favourite moments,” says Georgia. “One of my favourites was walking down the aisle. I was SOOO nervous beforehand, but as soon as I started walking and saw Josh I instantly felt so calm and nothing else mattered anymore.”
When it came to photos, Georgia and Josh agreed they wanted to capture as many fun, laidback moments as possible. “I am usually SO UNCOMFORTABLE with photos and so self conscious, and Esther just has the most incredible infectious energy that I knew we needed.” Awww, guys!
The venue was an absolute dream to shoot. Rolling hills, wintery sunlight, and of course… fluffy cows. “Being able to get away to take photos was actually such a beautiful time. We got to frolic in the fields with adorable cows, and we had a minute to just stop and realise ‘holy sh*t we just got married!’”
